Hello friends.  Today's guest post is from Kristy who shares her favorite big moment of 2011.
Thanks so much for sharing, Kristy!!
Oh & today is her daughter's birthday so pop over & say Happy Birthday!
Hi! I'm Kristy and I blog over at A Little Something. It's chock full of my life with my hubby M, our daughter Lia & our stinky dachshund Toby. I write about the things that make my heart happy.

I am so excited to be a part of Jessica's sponsor swap! As part of the sponsor swap she thought it would be fun to ring in the New Year with some of our favorites of 2011.

I have a horrible memory. Really guys, I had to skim back through my old blog posts to jog my memory on what 2011 held for me. It's been a long year! We had a house flood, my husband was discharged from the military and unemployed for about 7 months, we moved from New York to North Carolina to live with my parents and then M took a job offer and we moved to South Carolina.

That's a lot for one year. And a lot of this year wasn't so great for me. I struggled in my marriage, I struggled with being a mom, I struggled with myself. So, I'd have to say my favorite moment is the moment my husband called to tell me he accepted a job offer and we were moving to South Carolina within two weeks. I was ecstatic!

I remember that day so clearly. I had taken Lia out for a Target + snowcone run. Because who can't be cheered up by that combo? We had just finished our snowcones and I was getting her settled in her carseat when the phone rang. At the time, M was working a temp job with a hurricane cleanup crew. It was M and he asked if I was sitting down. I said I was and he told me he had been offered an awesome job (the job we had been hoping for) and we were moving. I just cried. I was so happy and SO relieved. I felt like we were all at our wits end with the current situation and we needed a break. We needed a change.

So here we are, at the end of 2011. We've been through so much this year and looking back - I am thankful for everything that happened to us. Good and bad. We learned so much about ourselves and each other. We re-learned to be thankful for everything we do have and not dwell on what we don't have.

Thanks to Jessica for the sponsor swap. I'm so happy I could be a part of it and I hope you come see me over at my blog!
