I love parties. I love throwing them, planning them, setting them up and then of course, enjoying them. I love watching my friends and family gather, eating yummy food, laughing, chatting, and creating some hilarious memories. Last night, I was lucky enough to do just that. Some new friends & friendly neighbors gathered at our place to ring in the new year together. It was a fantastic evening. FAN-TASTIC. Seriously, I can't remember the last time I laughed so much.
There were some seriously delish dishes. Pozole, sauerkraut and pork, Mexican corn dip, and some heavenly desserts. I prepared the snacks for the kids...fruit skewers, veggie cups & pinwheels.
Most the night was spent sitting around the fire pit in the back yard. Fun conversation, good beer, and s'mores. What more do you need?
And how could I forget...the photobooth. (which ended up looking more like a prom backdrop) I knew my guests would enjoy this, because let me tell you...these girls (and now their husbands) crack. me. up!
Silver tablecloth on the wall + camera on tripod + easy made props + brand-spanking new camera remote = PHOTOBOOTH FUN!!
aaaahhh...tear. Cracks me up everytime.
I hope you all had as good of a new year as I did. I can't believe my stellar luck in making yet another group of incredible friends.
Happy New Year to all of you!!

ReplyDeleteLooks like a really fun night and those snacks look really yummy!
I love throwing parties too. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI had a new years party this year in which I planned to make fondue- it turned out disastorous as the bottom had burned before all of the cheese had melted, and i burnt my hand more than once. Everyone had fun though, I think a photo booth would have been awesome thing to add. Maybe next year (or next party worthy event)
Happy 2012!
