Perhaps you noticed, I didn't blog yesterday. On book chat day.
My goal was to blog every day (M-F) but I think I will give myself a mid-week break to avoid burnout.
Does anyone else feel this way sometimes?
*deep breath*
Funny thing is, I just posted those Beat the Blogging Blues tips on Monday...and it would seem I need to be taking my own advice right about now.
Well, anyway, I thought I'd share what's been going on with me this week, to give you a peak into my life...
1: I've been pulling my hair out lately trying to keep the house clean. I feel like I'm chasing my tail daily. Or rather chasing two very messy kids who never stop moving. That whole Living Room Redo project I was working on, seems silly at this point. Redecorate? Ha. I'm killing myself just keeping it clean.
2: When I'm running around all day, some nights I prefer to just curl up with some coffee and the DVR. (yes, I drink coffee at night. I can't explain it. I don't stay up very late either)
3/4: Soccer has been kicking my butt lately. It's four nights a week, and with prep time and squeezing in dinner, it takes up our entire evening. However, I wouldn't change it for the world. We love every minute of it and Jonathan is having a blast.
On the bright side, I have been reading a lot lately. If you remember, I blogged recently about being completely under-whelmed with my reading selections lately. Well, I finally re-picked up this series. It's been on my shelf for too long. I'm glad I decided to give it another try. I read it in 5 days and I'm already on the sequel (even though I'm disappointed that it doesn't revolve around the same two characters in the first book like I thought it would). Oh well, I still expect to love it.
This is my TBR shelf. I have a bad habit of buying new books and ignoring the potential I have sitting right here. I decided I'm going to chip away at this collection before I add anything else to my shelves.
Does anyone else have this problem?
If you see one on here that I need to attack first, please let me know.
Well, that's all I have for now. Thanks for listening to me vent. I promise to have some new, fun stuff next week.

=( I was so ready for the book chat! lol I had my post all ready to go. I like coffee at night too. Caffeine doesn't seem to keep me up. I don't drink it to stay awake. I drink it because it tastes good...well ALL the stuff I put in it tastes good. I've recently started drinking more tea than coffee. I'm not sure why this happened but I'm not complaining. I put way less sugar in my tea!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Well I'm glad that you wanted to participate in the book chat. I honestly haven't had many people joining so I figured no one would care if I skipped a week! Well I promise it will go up next Thursday so if you have your post still ready, the link-up will be there!
DeleteI do this ALL the time! However, I've been quite liberal with my words this week (but thats sure to change, it always does.) I read somewhere to try writing for fun and stop editing and worrying what others think. Well that was all the encouragement I needed. It was time to let the random beckyness fly!
ReplyDeleteNow its your turn!
You and I = same page haha. I had so many post ready in my head for this week but I ended up blogging once - what?! This week just went by in the blink of an eye, it's crazy really. As far as book - you and I, the same again. I have so many books in my home that need reading but I always go to the bookstore and buy new ones anyway lol and you should totally tackle Juliet, Naked first but only because it's been on my list forever and have yet to read it and I'm curious haha
ReplyDeleteYes, I always have Post ideas in my head and ready to go, then by the time I get home, I'me exhausted. I haven't done a "Friday Favorites" post in two weeks after promising I'd keep up on it, but when Friday comes eh. I totally get it.
